Life, love, relationships are not static.
They are full of movement.
The movement of life and those around me urge me to take part of the journey and to stay away from the sidelines.
Within the small moments of the everyday happenings life moves, bends, sways, shifts.
Right now…today I’m learning to embrace this.

Lately I’ve been challenging myself to carry my camera with me, which to me is kind of annoying because it’s big, bulky, and as much as I love it; it feels a bit pretentious at times. When I’m walking down the street, and see people eyeing my camera I feel like they’re saying “ok…we get it. You take pictures”…or maybe that’s just what I do when I see the fanny-packed tourist with their dslr that won’t get out of my way. Anyways, I’ve been trying to carry my camera with me more, because well I’m a photographer, and shouldn’t I have a camera with me more often than not?
I read a few posts from some photographers I really respect who challenged me to just have my camera with me. You never know when you might want to take a picture, you never know what’s around the corner. And you know what I’ve found? I’ve found beauty in unexpected places, and I’ve actually fallen more in love with photography. I’ve been reminded how much I adore natural light, which leads me to the next installment of My Muse: natural light. I can’t get enough of it, and here are some places I’ve found some unexpected beauty.
PS…carry your camera around with you.
PSS Be inspired by Miss Sarah Rhoads post and Jasmine Star’s post as well that reminded me to have my camera on hand. Read away, and then do it:)

Slowing down, and trying to remember that it’s the journey not the destination…and making stops along the way.
